My name is Kale Critchlow, and I’m the owner of Critchlow Industries (CI) and a career firefighter serving the Des Moines Metro area. I’m married to my amazing wife, Bailey, and we share our life with our dog, Sage, and a cat named Kiki.

My passion for the fire service was sparked in 2017 when I watched a major fire unfold in the heart of my hometown. I was in awe of the firefighters' work and knew right then I had to be part of it. That December, I began my journey as a volunteer firefighter. Since then, I’ve grown tremendously—both in skill and in my love for the job.

Over time, my role evolved beyond responding to calls—I found a deep passion for teaching and sharing knowledge within the fire service. This journey led me to begin instructing through Rogue Training Consulting, which eventually expanded to include work with DMACC. Around that same time, I began tinkering with leatherworking, creating custom gear and tools for fellow firefighters.

Those two passions—teaching and craftsmanship—came together and laid the foundation for what is now Critchlow Industries. CI is more than a brand; it’s a reflection of my dedication to the fire service, a commitment to quality, and a desire to give back to the community that has given me so much.
